Twain Harte Lake

Welcome to Twain Harte Lake, a little slice of paradise in the heart of the Sierras.  Created through construction of a dam in 1928, this private, membership lake provides 40 acres of unlimited fun and enjoyment.  Many family cabins, built in the early years, are still owned by descendants of the original owners bringing a remarkable sense of history to the daily life of this community.
Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the Lake is enjoyed by lake members, their families and guests, along with those who rent the cabins owned by Lake Members.  Whether you are a member, a guest, or a renter, you will be captivated by the crystal clear lake, and starry night skies, and all that the community of Twain Harte has to offer.
